L'Echapper Belle ("The Beautiful Escape") is a breezy beachfront home on Bald Head Island, North Carolina, and it is headed straight to my all-time favorites list! Captured beautifully by photographers Gridley + Graves for a cover story in Beach Cottages magazine, the beach home is awash in soft greens and blues, paired with white and pale woods that keep everything feeling light and airy–perfect for the beach! The homeowner worked with Shelley Thompson of Cottage Chic to outfit much of the home, filling it was comfortable and casual pieces that exude cottage charm. (Those comfy striped chairs are my fav!) So in love with the galley kitchen too. Did you notice how the upper glass-front cabinets repeat the home's window design? Such a great detail!
